1001 Albums Summary

Pet Sounds for the 1980s and goths, insofar as it's an album that feels untouchable with how beautiful it sounds. There are decades of metal musicians who wish their bass sounded as powerful as the bass in "Fascination Street" does.

Yesterday's review was for The Cure's Disintegration, which I called "Pet Sounds for the 1980s and goths." I think that gets across more than enough for Pet Sounds itself. I'd be lying if I said I loved every track on here, but the big songs are among the best in history.

A deeply boring Nu-Psychedelia album that sounds like a mess of howls, organ, and twangy guitars. Thank God they also wrote three of the most important Electro-Pop songs of the late 00s that, frankly speaking, stick out like a sore thumb compared to every other song on here.

You gotta be high out of your damned gourd if you think I'm gonna come on this website and give maybe the best double album, maybe THE defining double album, anything less than 5 stars.

Yeah man this might be bold of me to say but you should absolutely listen to some Miles Davis before dying.

A dramatic stage play that both sparkles in the glitz and glamor of Bowie's charisma but turns around to captivate with moody ambiance and instrumental soundscapes. Bowie's vocal performance on "Heroes" should be studied in a lab in hopes to one day better the world.
