With The Beatles
Beatles
lowkey jarring start lmao. just straight into it. first song was pretty short, lacking structure?? second song has kinda harsh harmony in some parts. still its got a nice vibe. rhythm wtv. i liked all my loving. btw all these songs are kinda short i just looked and before i looked it was very clear. so they do feel a little incomplete. don't bother me was boring. also i don't like when songs just end by fading out. little child feels like something i would hear in a country bar or some shit. like the harmonica lol. i like till there was you, but random comment - "i never saur them" didn't know cursive singing existed already lmao. i think hold me tight is an original? it's alright. ok im finally done and mostly what i have to say is that was pretty boring. saw some guy say this isn't their best album and he's definitely right and i haven't even listened to any other album by them. overall 2/5

Violent Femmes
Violent Femmes
kiss off: interesting bass line or wtv instrument that is. lot of talky vocals. add it up: lowkey thought this was some dude being angry that he's a virgin. its not. confessions: instrumental breakdown sounds like a bunch of teenagers fucking around with the instruments. gimme the car: nearly thought the beginning riff was smells like teen spirit LMAO. it is not the same tho.
- [ ] ehhhh so i did not like that. it was just boring to listen to. and no hate to violent femme fans but um. cool band name, i thought the music would actually sound like the name lmao 😭. like the dude's voice sounds the same in every song. he doesnt change it up at all its just the same kinda talky, annoying sound. not an album that really has a catchy sound yk. its very repetitive and like 3 songs in i wanted to stop listening to it. so there.

Billy Joel
standouts: scenes from an italian restaurant - felt like 3 songs in one lol. vienna, she's always a woman - heard it somewhere before. vibe of the album felt kinda groovy. i thought it was sort of melancholic without being depressing yk. lots of piano. also felt like his voice was a focal point in most songs. not bad.

The Hour Of Bewilderbeast
Badly Drawn Boy
ok 3 songs in, kind of reminds me of radiohead. minus the beautiful falsetto...oop. definitely gives indie. kinda interesting this song fall in a river ends with the actual river sounds. i like camping next to the water. the lyrics are kind of abstract, fantasy-like idk. "i am a giant grain of sand" find deep meaning in that for me pls. i like that song tho (another pearl). oh also drums in most of these are very light/soft. once around the block is actually their top streamed song; makes sense i heard the intro and it immediately kinda stuck. magic in the air good too. bomb explodes halfway through "cause a rockslide"?? uhh so just found out this isn't a band it's just one dude?? that makes it a lot more impressive holy. oh also i figured out who i think he sounds like. the dude who sings for the smiths (idk who that is tho). the last song epitaph is good too, like the whistling and birds chirping. the whole album actually really matches with the environment im listening to it in. which is like a slow sunday afternoon, clear skies and trees rustling yk. maybe minus the impending sense of doom i have about aps. anyway i liked this, might listen again.

Reign In Blood
Slayer
angel of death: 1) lyrics about the holocaust? ok. 2) kinda repetitive 3) random ass guitar solo that doesnt really fit in? necrophobic: uhh so i would assume this song is about necrophilia...ok. actually idfk. again with the guitar solo. i feel like these lyrics are why people think metal bands are satanic. was about to say its not satanic and now the song im listening to is LITERALLY "Hail satan!!" LMAO??? also the drums in every song feel too similar. like they're just banging the same two thingies. WHY TF IS THE NEXT SONG "jesus saves" ???? im so confused. finally done. first, i have learned a lot more about thrash metal. and second, i have also learned i do not like it. 😁

KE*A*H** (Psalm 69)
Ministry
n.w.o - interesting soundbyte of some man saying sorry? lol. riff feels a little repetitive. songs have a slower tempo. tv II - no. hero - a little more varied with guitar riff?? maybe im hallucinating. also sounds more like thrash metal (aka slayer bcuz all ik about thrash is slayer). ending def made me think my headphones were glitching lmao. psalm 69 - ngl i kinda fuck with this song. but not enough to add it to my liked songs. yeah finished it was meh tbh. idk why i keep listening to metal albums in the hopes that i like them. bcuz i've onky really liked nu metal so far. anyway the riffs in every song felt pretty repetitive and because there weren't a lot of vocals leading the song the repetitiveness stood out for iykim.
