1001 Albums Summary

I really liked this album. I've never really gotten into country music, but this is a really good first serious look at this genre! I also decided to investigate the artist and I was surprised, she is better known than I thought and I was even able to recognise a song that I didn't know was hers (I'll always love you, the original version). Her voice is so clean and beautiful… I can feel the emotions in this album. What else can I say? She is a good artist and this album is recommended.

It's a good album, but not to my taste. It's mostly calm, it has songs that I liked, such as "Porcelain", "Inside" and "My Weakness", but I didn't like the others as much because of their repetitive rhythms and lyrics.

It was an entertaining album to listen to, it really transports you to Brazil, and of course it does it because Jorge is one of the most important artists in the country mentioned (one in the top 5, at least) The music is great, if you liked “Mas que nada" (song by the same artist, a very recognized hit) and if you want to get closer to Brazil’s music and culture you are going to love this artist's music in general. Totally recommended.

Personally, Neil's voice and songs (at least on this album) are not one of those that leave you jaw-dropped and make you exclaim "WOW!", at least for me, but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable. The truth is, I liked it a lot in general, it was not tedious to listen to it, I saved one or another in my likes. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, it's good but not a big deal, and that's enough.
