Live!
Fela KutiI don’t know how to write about music but also what to say about this. It was nice to chill to. Would probably be good to listen to on mushrooms.

I should have rated yesterday’s album a 3 This whole thing should allow for half stars Had never listened to this before but well acquainted with the sample in Power Interesting to listen to one of these foundational text type of albums
I did War Pigs at karaoke once and almost got heckled off the stage
5 star single 4 star album The extended version in particular in an exercise in tedium
This guy really fucks with the marimba. It wasn’t bad but I don’t think I’ll ever listen to it again on purpose
This is one of those albums where I can’t tell what the lyrics are most of the time, but the vocals are more of another instrument. I do like the more melodic parts which pop up periodically
The best parts of this one are the parts where they’re just kind of jamming and Ozzy isn’t singing Don’t think I’d ever play this album on purpose
This one isn’t on Amazon prime music and I wasn’t willing to sit through YouTube ads for it If I want to hear that drum beat I’ll just watch the old Dog Show skits
I listened to about half of this but it was pretty good. Reinforced my idea that all language sounds better when you can’t understand it
Ok
Should we put like a drumbeat here maybe? How about a man crying out like a goose Love the genre that’s one half serious racial commentary and one half cackling gremlin noise
Couple good singles, though nothing as iconic as Creep I see this album as important in the evolution of the band that would go from Pablo Honey to Kid A and beyond, rather than supremely important to music generally
Sometimes I’d start to think “oh this track sounds pretty good” then she’d start singing. Really weak vocals imo One of the best TS albums and singles and this is all it is + The Screaming Females cover of Shake it Off is so much better it was shocking to hear the original again Homeschooled weirdo energy
I never really enjoy this kind of rowdy tune for more than a couple of minutes Technically skilled, utterly boring to me
I typed “utterly boring” on yesterday’s album, hit enter, and got shown the dead Cosmic punishment Peace love and boredom
I’m gonna shit my pants on live tv if the next album is infected with jam band crap Good otherwise
I listened to about half of this
This album whips ass. I remember what I was doing the first time I heard “Rolling in the Deep” Adele eating heavy cream based desserts and smoking a pack a day just lining up a full album of bangers she would never match again
Never listened to Elvis Costello knowingly before and I really don’t get what the big deal is tbh When he says “don’t you know I’m an animal” I liked that line and it made me think, but maybe not in the way the song intended
