KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
May 17 2024

some of the tracks on here hit the emotional bone for sure. i really dig the amount of distortion and fuzz on the guitar at times - stuff gets really psychedelic at times. i'm writing this as Hard To Say Goodbye is finishing up and god damn, real talk could have listened to that on loop for at least another 7 mins. lowkey shoegaze vibes (shut up). dudes vocals are incredible and very very good but something isn't quite clicking with me in that department yet. alright, few more tracks left. might listen to it again and see if it really sticks - otherwise 3/5 for sure.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
May 20 2024

yeah man, this is a classic. I don't think I ever sat down and listened to this album all the way through and if I have certainly not with the attention I just did. this is some shit I would throw on during a road trip with the family.

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
May 21 2024

Beautiful voice. Got that old timey vibe to it that honestly still kind of runs together for me between multiple artists but I'm trying to change that. I just need to listen to more stuff like this. I liked the instrumentals here and the chord progressions were enjoyable to my ears. A little too romantic at times for my usual taste but it was a good listen. I'll run it back. Second listen was better. Solid ass album. Not too long either.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
May 22 2024

This album kicks ass. I listened to it twice today. This is probably dumb but my favorite track is Changes.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
May 23 2024

I'm such an anti Led Zeppelin-er for no reason man. This album popped up today and I was like "mannnnnnn". I'll give it an honest listen and report back. No way this is beating Sabbath Vol. 4. Yeah nah, still can't fuck with Zepp.

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
May 24 2024

I fucked up and didn't take notes while I listened today at work. I ran through it twice. First listen I wasn't really vibing but I started to hit a groove with it the second time through. I think I should listen to this at home sometime where I can be a little more careful with my listening. 3/5 for now.

Abbey Road by Beatles
May 28 2024

I've heard this album a lot. I Want You (She's So Heavy) is my shit.

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
May 29 2024

This album sucks. Terrible lyrics, complete cheese ball. You feel like sigourney weaver in Alien bro? Dude this shit is unlistenable. Instrumentals are okay I guess.

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
May 30 2024

Vibesssss. Hayley kept saying "what's with all these different versions of songs" Highway of my Life is my shit.

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
May 31 2024

Album rips. I like Trash and Frankenstein.

Jun 04 2024

Its okay I guess. Favorite tracks, All of the Lights and Devil in a New Dress. Production is kind of cheeseball to me. I like Kanye production but I fear this is where he's going downhill for me. He always manages to pull off some good shit every few years but dude doesn't deserve all the praise.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Jun 05 2024

I'll probably listen to this a few more times for it to really sink in. I've only ever listened to Beastie Boys singles and their Anthology back in 2013 super casually. This was a really fun listen. I can't list favorites yet, need a few more listens. All the tracks are sick except maybe Paul Revere. Maybe it will stick on a second listen.
