1001 Albums Summary

Van Morrison's popularity was one I got really confused about until I heard the music. Van Morrison offers some nice jazzy and country elements blended in, and it sounds amazingly well produced for the 70s. The vocals are very nice and smoothing, the instruments are well thought out and played, and overall, really nice sound. It's one of the more memorable albums of the early 70s, in my opinion. Solid album overall. 89/100

It's not as good as people are saying it is. I've never been a fan of Rage Against The Machine, and I don't really think I'll ever be. At its best, this album is just pretty decent, and at worst, it's kind of mediocre. I've never liked the rapping in this album because I don't think it lines up correctly with the percussion or instrumentation of the album. I don't even see myself enjoying the big tracks like Killing In The Name. Mid. 55/100
