The 80’s synths and and drum machines are impossible to get past. It sounds so dated and and cheesy. The sound and production of this record is so deeply ensconced In the dated gimmicks of that decade that it is impossible to listen to the songs and the songwriting objectively. King of Pop? King of Krap.

amazing how someone so young can be so mature and fully formed as an artist and vocalist.

I know almost all of these songs by heart - they are so deeply ingrained in our collective pop culture. But I’ve never listened to the album start to finish. It is truly a great record. Great performances , great songwriting , great melodies. It still holds up
