I love Otis Redding and this is one of his best albums.
Love and Affection stood out. I’m sad I didn’t know about her sooner.
It's very interesting hearing the vast influences that earlier bands had on Thin Lizzy and how thoroughly their lead guitarist as well as the pacing of their sound derives from those influences. I can hear a ton of Jimi Hendrix as well as the David Gilmour days of Pink Floyd.
I listened to this album once before when I was in my early first genuine Prog Rock exploratory phase. I think the best that can be said about Yes, is that their sound is very consistent, complex, and their harmonies are lovely if a bit repetitive.
