At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Jul 04 2024

I've already heard that one, but the mood of this album is something I really like.

Jul 05 2024

A staple of my college salad days. I don't think deep cuts on it aged particularly well, though, and re-listening to the album reminded me why I moved on to stronger EDM things (Machine Girl and danmaku VGMs spoiled me hard). These vocal samples get annoying fast... I think his subsequent album is generally better, though I'm a bit afraid to relisten to it and find out that it's not.

Jul 06 2024

I've only listened to it a single time, but this was pretty nice. Some tracks I can do without, some genuine bangers (especially the title track), and a great rendition of Maggot Brain in the end. I would place 3.5 on it if I could, but since this site only allows five stars, I'll round it up to four (and will do that with others albums from here).

Dookie by Green Day
Jul 07 2024

Haven't listened to it properly, but will catch up in free time. I was mostly busy grinding Zone Zeneless Zero, so yeah x) I haven't lived through the era when this music was relevant, but this style is instantly nostalgic to me thanks to Tony Hawk's games and the 2000s pop punk rennaisance. Kinda speaks to me.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Jul 08 2024

One of the first full albums I've actually listened to, way back in the late-2000s (alongside Primus - Frizzle Fry). Wasn't much of a fan back then, don't know if i'll change my mind now. UPD: I certainly enjoy songs on this one way more than I did before. At the same time, it's not the kind of music that usually fits my mood or vibe, and the fact that I haven't returned to Nirvana properly for nearly a decade sorta speaks for itself. Good album, but doesn't pass my ratings well.
