1001 Albums Summary

There is a lot of historical value to the album and interesting from an American cultural perspective but I did not enjoy listening to the album

This album brings the mid century rock and roll into the modern era. This is a quintessential 70's album but it makes strides to bring rock and roll into the 80's and beyond despite being released in 1972. The album isn't amazing by any stretch, but its influence on other artists can be seen. It is a decent album to listen to but I could not be bothered to really pay attention due to the slow pace. For an album that short, the pacing should be quicker in my opinion.

This is a great album that could be mixed in with any rotation of classic rock albums while having 21st century themes. My favorite tracks from the album are Freedom at 21 and Hip (Eponymous) Poor Boy. This album is definitely worth a listen. This album has gotten lost in time as just 12 years after release, I do not know anyone who remembers this album with any sort of nostalgia. It is a good album that has certainly flown under the radar. Perhaps it just was not meant for the era of social media but it is a shame this one has gone unnoticed. It is not my favorite album by any means but it is a good listen and I would gladly put some of the tracks in my current rotation of music.

The first half of the album is actually very good and arguably sets the foundation for the next half century's worth of pop and rock music. The second half of the album is very experimental and the quality of the music experiences a steep drop off. Because of that. This album is average at best despite being foundational to many genres of music within modern western civilization

I did not enjoy the album. it sounded too whiney. I did not bother finishing the album
