Moondance
Van Morrison
Best songs : Into the mystic, Come running, Moondance
Started off okay, then picked up a little in the middle, and then dipped really low by the end.
Wanted to give it 3.5 stars when I heard Into the mystic and Come running, but there's not one good song after those two, and I skipped a couple halfway through.
3 stars because it's an easy going album that you can play in the background. Its very chill, and some songs have a nice, smooth, good feel to them. A mix of jazz, blues and country. Not bad. But not that great as well.
Nothing I'd play again and listen to in full length on purpose. So maybe a 2.5? Not decided the rating yet. Will decide when I reach the rating page.
I don't think there's an option to give half a star, so 3 it is.

Melodrama
Lorde
Lovely album. Started it thrice and couldn't continue, so heard the first song 3 times. Not sure if that's why I liked that the best, or because it was actually the best one. But in any case, it's now in my Playlist. So are 4 others. Very nice vibe, great music. Something different but not for the sake of it.
Lord's voice is fantastic. Will listen to this whole album again tomorrow.

Aladdin Sane
David Bowie
This is absolutely the worst album I've heard in my life. I do not know the impact this album had on music as a whole when it was released about 50 years ago now, but I do know for sure this sucks balls in 2024. At least for me.
I have no fucking idea what that keyboardist/pianist was doing throughout the album. Everything he played sounded wrong. I understand it might have been intentional, but man it didn't work. AT ALL. So horrible. Every note he played sounded wrong. His piano solo in the title track 'Aladdin Sane' hurt my ears. They're still bleeding.
What in the absurd, schizophrenic bullshit was that album? It sucked so much i wish I'd never heard it.
I understand Bowie was a legend and is still considered one, but I will need some solid proof why after listening to this utter crapfest. Maybe I'll try a couple other albums of his just to be sure, once I've recovered from this torture.
0 stars from my end, but unfortunately there's no option for that.

Raw Power
The Stooges
This wasn't a good album. At all. The mix was horrible, and unlistenable. The songs were not so bad, especially the guitar solos, but the mix was so utterly horrible that everything just sounded like jumbled up crap.
I know this is from 1973, but this doesn't hold up in 2024. There are tons of other artists that do hold up to this day, but The Stooges isn't one of them; well at least this album isn't.
I don't think I am ever going to listen to this album again. A couple of songs would have been good had the mix been better, or if it had been recorded a decade or so later, that's why I'll give it 2 stars.

This is a FANTASTIC album! Second song in I knew I was gonna love this one. It starts off as an electronic party album with some groove, and ends by being a trippy, acoustic guitar, folksy, Pink Floyd-y kinda vibe. Loved it. Haven't finished it yet, still on the 3rd last song, but I'm gonna definitely listen to it again.

Bringing It All Back Home
Bob Dylan
Very nice album. I enjoyed the first half more than the second. 4 stars because after 'Mr Tambourine Man', the album drops way too low and the last 3 songs are absolute duds. But I added 6 songs in total to my playlist so it definitely was a very enjoyable album.
Would I listen again : Definitely yes.
Favourite track : Bob Dylan's 115th Dream
