2 Not my cup of tea. I tend to listen to lyrics first, and these songs lyrics just promotes the band…telling us over and over how cool they are. Well, maybe they are. But I dont care. I do like the groove though, makes me want to dance.
Immigrant song is just heavy rock perfection. Its been a part of my life since I was a kid. Rest of the album doesnt quite get all the way up there. Except for their version of "The Maid Freed from the Gallows", Gallows Pole. Great.
Bass line of the first song (Cloud Nine) says it all -a great album! Heard It Through The Grapevine is a classic. Their sound, the production puts a big dancing boot in my ear and just keeps stomping.
