Kinda sleepy and a little boring at times Not a big fan of a lot of the vocal melodies, they harmonize well together though. Parts of the album that I did like are scattered and far between Not a big fan of this style of music. Overall very hit or miss for me. Some songs sound great with cooler weather right now. Some songs just don't work for me. Starts weak and ends weak. Without the strong mid section of the album this would be a big miss. What the hell is that last song? Are we for real right now? The granddaddy of hip-hop albums. Hugely influential for many modern rap artists. I can hear many of my favorite rappers in the cadence and flow of Nas on this album. I have listened to this album multiple times over the years and each time am floored by how incredible Nas sounds over his beat selection. Maybe not the most mind-blowing production but what the production of the 90s lacks Nas makes up for in spades. His effortlessly cool flow paired with insightful and at times funny lyrics makes this a must listen. Essential hip-hop. BEST TRACKS All of them WORST TRACKS None
