The sound of a band comfortably in their prime, appropriating the influences that shaped them and performing at a level far surpassing their peers. Very much a product of its time, listening in 2024 is more nostalgic than electrifying, however the legacy of this LP cannot be denied. 4/5 High- Thank You Low- Living Loving Maid
Two gospel tinged rock classics sandwich some pretty forgettable country inspired songs. The Rolling Stones have some stone cold bangers across their career, interspersed with bone fide filler.
Far more interesting than the last Stones album I had on the list ( Let it Bleed). Highs include Tumbling Dice, Let it Loose and Sould Survivor
Not Outkast's best album but still a fun, funky sexy time. For a double album the runtime flies past, barring the middle of the love below
A fun big band album, full of vitality. It truly sounds like a party at the end of the world. Lil Darling playing out as the bombs drop would be a pretty nice way to go out.
