Play by Moby
Oct 27 2024

Are my comments public? LOL, I guess I'll find out. This is a new listen, though I came into it VERY familiar with the singles, as I'm sure many millennials are. I watched plenty of MTV growing up, but even if I hadn't done so, the hits off of this album were everywhere! On the radio, in the stores, etc. I was never much of a fan. I still remember the video wherein Gwen Stefani licks Moby's bald head (gag me). Electronica isn't my thing, but I found this inoffensive at worst and even found myself enjoying it at times, which was, uh, surprising for me. 3.5/5

Broken English by Marianne Faithfull
Nov 03 2024

I wasn't really enjoying the first half of the album. I'm unsure about whether I prefer the last half, or maybe her voice grew on me as I listened... Either way, I'm satisfied. 3.5/5

The Next Day by David Bowie
Nov 09 2024

I love David Bowie! This one didn't immediately grab me like others. Some of the bass lines were pretty cool though. I'm pretty sure I heard the drum intro to "Five Years" toward the end, perhaps a little nod to his Ziggy Stardust era. ;o)
