Band On The Run
Paul McCartney and WingsPretty categorical proof that Paul is the most overrated Beatle. George solos.

A rather chilling listen. Morrison's weary vocals remain iconic as ever.
It's honestly surprising to think any of this was considered controversial upon release. Even back then, the content is pretty standard anti-authoritarian fare and considering Rotten's irl views now, this all rings as hollow.
Far from Davis' best work but still effortlessly cool in a way only he knew.
Piece of My Heart is an all timer, I just wish the rest of the album was as consistent
In one ear, out the other. It's just so boring.
Impressive vocals as you would expect but the writing is consistently one note and hollow
Honestly carried by the opening track and that legendary 3 song run in the middle. The rest of it has aged pretty poorly in terms of the stilted production. Undeniably influential but is nowhere near the classic people hold it up as.
Iconic for a reason
I hated this. Indescribably annoying with almost zero redeeming features. Garbage of the highest order.
A truly one of a kind voice. The production hasn't aged a day. It's lush. it's grand, it's groovy, it's comforting. Wonderful
