Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots
The Flaming Lips
First of all, I love the cover; would definitely read a book with that cover.
The squarish synth sounds would be corny in some other context, but they fit the robot theme.
The robots could symbolize artificial emotions and inner coldness, maybe a conflicting inner emotional world - "The calculations error". Also a struggle with choosing love or hate. My interpretation of the B-side is that wallowing in self-pity in a self-centered way is not worth it when you can look around and notice the beauty all around you.

With The Beatles
Beatles
I do like The Beatles a lot but their early output is not my favorite. This album has some nice pop songs but it doesn't excite me like Revolver or The White Album.
All I've Got To Do is my favorite. Little Child is embarrassing. I'd much rather listen to the later albums starting from Rubber Soul.

Who Killed...... The Zutons?
The Zutons
This is a fun album. I'm a sucker for anything apocalyptic. Definitely will be bumping this along with Bowie's "Diamond Dogs" during an apocalypse

In Utero
Nirvana
Feels like they were just getting started. Kurt had an ear for melodies and my favorites are the "softer" tracks like Dumb, Pennyroyal Tea, and All Apologies

Queen II
Queen
Well produced and performed songs that don't make me feel anything; that's how I feel about most of the music by Queen.
Freddie was so good at singing that it feels like he had built-in autotune, which in my opinion makes his voice boring and lacking in character. I know, a blasphemous thing to say. Many people think that for example Dylan can't sing, but I would much rather listen to a gritty and humanly imperfect voice like that, rather than the heavenly and flawless singing of Freddie Mercury.
So basically, Queen is too good for their own good. I'm also not into the dramaticism, which is weird since my favorite artist is Bowie, who is not a stranger to theatrics. Something about Queen's lyrics and sound makes them really corny and tacky to my ears. It's really hard for me to sit through a full album by them.
