1001 Albums Summary

An appropriate first review, as this album came out the year I was born. I was a latecomer in my appreciation for Zeppelin, but this record brings it all home. I can hear the deep blues influences, but also revel in the band forging a new path into hard rock. I also hear the DNA strands of the bands that they clearly influenced over the decades--all the way from arena rock, to southern rock, to grunge, to modern rock.
