Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Dec 27 2024

Classic album heard most of the songs on here. The early? version of honky Tonk women leaves a lot to be desired, easy low point for me. The title track, Gimmie Shelter, and You Can’t Always Get What You Want are the shining stars of the album, supported by groovy tracks such as midnight rambler and Monkey Man. One of the Stones better albums for sure. Best Track: Gimmie Shelter

Ten by Pearl Jam
Dec 29 2024

One of the best debut albums of all time, and one of the 4 quintessential grunge albums of the early 90’s. First half is all bangers, giving us some of the most iconic guitar riffs ever with songs like Even Flow, Alive, Black. After Jeremy there ain’t much doing for me though. Release is a great album closer to an overall amazing album that has a place in any collection and has served as the inspiration to many a modern musician.

Queen II by Queen
Dec 30 2024

Perhaps more famous for its iconic cover than the music, Queen II showcases the bands blossoming ability to blend opera and rock and roll. Tones of mythical fantasy roll over the whole album, although songs like Loser in the end are jarringly different. I’ve always liked Queen, but have never listened to Queen II cover to cover. It’s not a bad album by any means, it’s just missing that extra punch to make it stand out. Seven seas of Rhye and Father to Son are easily the most memorable.
