First listen: just sounds like “RAH this is Green Day”. I feel like the impact of this album would be most punchy when it first came it cause it would have felt like a more unique sound than it does now. A lot of it sounds samey to me and it’s definitely good but I would only put it on if I really felt like I was in a 🤘🏻 mood. Basket Case is a stand out but maybe that’s just because I’m more familiar with it.

First listen: Wasn’t expecting a woman’s voice. Very vibey and groovy. Be Thankful… feels like a standout. Unfinished Sympathy has really beautiful layered percussion.

First listen: I think I’ve listened to this album before. But maybe never in full. the album artwork is so cool. Contrition is a very cool song. Sir Duke would be great in a soundtrack. Kind of feels like a song that Jackson 5 would have been influenced by. I Wish is such classic funk. Ah so the Pastime Paradise —> Gangsta’s Paradise makes sense. It makes GP seem like less of a good song, I didn’t realise how much was copied. Does this go beyond a sample? Summer Soft feels like it shows a bit of a different vocal range for him. Would defs get this album on vinyl or CD.
