1001 Albums Summary

What a tragic prophecy for herself, damn. Definitely didn't age well on multiple fronts and some of the lyrics are ... well ... yikes... ,but Amy's voice is just too magical for me to care too much; and musically, it's a good record. Although 'Frank' is most certainly not her finest piece of work, she is still hitting with it more than she misses. It's an intriguing album with many special elements, I really like the bland of jazz and R&B I would probably prefer to rate this a 3 in normal circumstances, but I have had some experience with this list and the many similar, terrible albums it provides, so it deserves some extra goodwill to pump it up to a 4.

There is certainly some good stuff here, I can see the appeal, but it's a bit too much for an hour with the insanely long songs. The whole album didn't grab me that much, but 21st Century Schizoid Man is a certified banger though, so much so that it single-handedly carries the album to a 3 star rating.
