Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Jan 02 2025

The intro is fine, not for me but I can see why people like it. Fun breakdown(?) hot ladies is a boring subject matter remember tomorrow would've worked better as an instrumental. the bass fucks hard and every time the vocals stop I start enjoying it. Sorry vocal guy. running free: wow you'll never guess how I feel about the vocals fun song I like the relentless beat going on I dunno it's annoying because he can make his voice sound nice but I really hate the "IM RUNNING FREE" screeched in my ears every 5 seconds Phantom of the Opera: cool intro tolerable vocals when they're more mixed into the back a bit probably would be a fun guitar hero song cute beat switch (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧ once again the song is pretty good when the vocalist isnt vocaling Transylvania: oh so he can be quiet pretty good it lost my attention however Strange world: cool intro I love whatever the bassist is doing the vocals arent grating here Charlotte the hArlot: cringe name, cringe lyrics, lmfao, i hate this. tip sex workers generously <3 iron maiden: kinda glad this is nearly over bangin drums kinda meh it occurred to me that I am a bit surprised this album is considered influential. It's fine, maybe I'm missing context or maybe it's not my taste. 2

The Wall by Pink Floyd

this fucks hard, I grew up with this album and watching the film. Like it's an all time favourite for me and lodged in my soul. [5]

context: I dunno really who Johnny Cash is and I'm not American. definitely not my usual genre but it's pretty good so far at the first track. I was surprised to read Fiona Apple did backing vocals! neato I like the storytelling vibe. If this guy was still alive I'd sit by a campfire and listen to him sing. I really prefer the Trent Reznor version of Hurt. However this is still great and I could see myself preferring this version when I relate to the vibe more. I see why people like it SO much. Time moves really fucking slow when I listen to this guy. Am I trying to convince myself that I like it? I dunno loll we'll see 3 songs in and it feels like I've been here for an hour. Perhaps it's the genre aaaa i'm BORED!!!!!! maybe I could use that to my advantage though. Can I slow down time using Johnny Cash's studio album: American IV: The Man Comes Around? am I a mage? is he a mage? Bridge Over Troubled Water is really bleh to me. If he whipped this out at the campfire I'd either leave orrrr I'd stay around and try to get as much stuff done as possible because of the time slowing down thing. Fiona's vocals are pretty but I think she's incapable of sounding bad. wait that song was less than FOUR MINUTES? LMAO i'm gonna crawl up the walls. I take it back, I don't see why people like it. I will be fascinated to read the rym reviews after this. PLEASE DO SOMETHING INTERESTING WITH THE MUSIC MAN. PLEASE BRO do I just not understand the appeal? Maybe I needed to know the original songs before they were covered? I'm currently at song number 6, "First Time I Ever Saw Your Face" It just feels like cliches set to guitar strumming. It's kinda funny how torturous this album is becoming to me. I dunno there's nothing offensive. There's a little jazzy piano in Personal Jesus that could've been cool if it was leaned into. But it wasn't. God damn it 8 songs still left. I'm on In My Life. zzz I keep zoning out Maybe the appeal is parasociality? I grew up with a kid called Sam Hall and he was a cunt lol he bullied me for not shaving my legs slightly better song than the others previous? at least it was a tad interesting oh he's whipping out all the names of guys i wanna *** **** **, Danny Boy. Pretty boring song. The church organ sound is really nice. I just wish the album was more confident in what it was doing instrumentally. Song wasn't worth the slight ptsd trigger lol desperado oh boy more old man with guitar in my ear this album could've been an ep with hurt and a few others, it's way too fucking long. also just remembered it's a posthumous album. I feel weird about them just by principle. i still can't see the appeal i'm so lonesome etc: predictable full of cliches etc guitar sad old guy. you know the drill. omfg i'm so excited only 3 songs left. tear stained letter: you'll never guess the dominant emotion in this song cute piano bit stweets of lawedo: penultimate song yipeee yo gay cowboys? gay dying cowboys? fine song LAST SONG WOOOOOOOOO we'll meet again: sorry man I wouldn't mind if we didn't meet again after this album. cute song though. If this was an ep and much shorter, this could've made it to 3 stars, but it was wayy toooo long for the lack of interesting anything. Not 4 me at all. If I could do half stars I would do 1.5 but I will round it to 2.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Jan 07 2025

Blondie - Parralel Lines hanging on the telephone, i recognise this, fun song, poppy, a bit basic, but easy and good to bounce to. i like the singer's voice. one way or another- OH I KNOW THIS!!! this is lodged in my brain from childhood. i can't remember where i know it from, but my god, it is lodged hard. catchy ass song, the drums and bass interact really nicely, i like that Debbie Harry's voice is passionate sounding, like she actually is gonna hunt me down. oh the breakdown yessssssssssss i really like this. OH THE ALARMS!! all the details and the way the intruments sound so bouncy, ahh great song. picture this- slightly boring but it's gonna be hard to follow up one way or another. THE PASSION IN HER VOICE!! YEEAAH. fine song fade away and i radiate- great intro, i love the contrast of the vocals and drums and the little other details happening in the background. after the intro it gets a little slow and sloggy but holy shit it sounds like a 3 course gourmet meal after listening to led zeppelin. i zoned out for a lot of it pretty baby- cute song, kinda boring subject matter of the lyrics. HOWEVER, i did just look at a photo of Debbie Harry and i can say this song might be about herself, god damn, she is realy pretty. sorry i know that's irrelevant to the music. the fade out in this song felt really off, like it was halfway between a fade and a total stop and it couldn't make up it's mind. fun song, bit generic. i know but i don't know- furries rise up aroooooooo <3 instrumental is great, oh shit theres a dude singing. he's there. i suppose. sorry hehe 11:59pm- bit boring, the intrumental is cute though. oh it revs up a bit, nice i would kill myself if today lasted a million years tho will anything happen- sorry i didn't pay much attention and zoned out. it didn't catch my attention at all sunday girl- this makes me want to shimmy my shoulders and it feels very queer which i loooove. like i wanna wear a leather jacket and court a lovely femme to this song. great song heart of glass- WOAH this is deep in my memories. gorgeous song, i love the synths? i think it's synths going wowowowowow. debbie has a really pleasant voice, even when she sings falsetto. i like the man doing bg vocals too, it contrasts in a velvety way. physically impossible to not bop my head to this. i bet it's fun as hell to play the drums in this band. banger i'm gonna love you too- ooo boppy as fuck. good song just go away- GOOO AWAY!!! relatable haha, i like the happy sounding instrumental with the "piss off" lyrics. sounds like another song where the drummer is having heaps of fun. and the bass actually. hell yeah once i had a love aka the disco song- do do dod od oddodododo oh! this must be the demo of heart of glass maybe? the original is better but this is fun too, the guitars are going crazy. the bass sounds great too. i'm actually not sure if the original is better now. this straight up has got me closing my eyes to be enveloped by the music. i wasn't expecting that! wow 3.9

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Jan 14 2025

Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin god damn i'm sorry this is so boring to me. trampled under foot is the first track that stands out to me. i like the bouncy feeling of it. i recognise kashmir, it's pretty alright. the guy singing has the worlds most annoying voice though. i will never call myself a bad singer again the rest of the songs so far on disk 1 have blended into a blob in my mind. the start of in the light is pretty currently at down by the seaside, the main word coming to my mind is 'slog' beat switch was cool tho releaseeee meeeee that riff in ten years gone was slightly irritating as i was listening, i googled and found an article on led zeppelin. i noticed kurt cobain said they sing about their dicks too much. I haven't been listening to the lyrics because the music doesn't make me interested in them, but if most of the songs are about sex that's actually boring as fuck lol. kurt cobain seems to have a lot of similar criticisms to me, rip dude wanton song was an absolute snooze oh jesus and they are plagiarists?? i feel awful for the people they stole from, damn. imagine these guys stealing your song and turning it into the blandest shit i've heard in a while. why do people rave about these jerks? i mean i know the answer but i won't bring it up in a music review or it'll turn into a rant black country woman- uhh i hate this sick again- hey what the fuck are these lyrics? "From the window of your rented limousine I saw your pretty blue eyes One day you're gonna reach SIXTEEN? Painted lady in the city of lies" i fucking hate this shit i hate it i hate it stay away from teenagers you fucking freaks oh thank fuck its the last song 1/5 this was ass
