L.A. Woman
The Doors
The Changeling - good, interesting, textured
Love Her Madly - again, interesting, and I like how the various instruments come up in the mix
Been Down So Long - decent 12-bar blues, Jack White solo
Cars Hiss By My Window - worse 12-bar blues why is this here???
L.A. Woman - yeah too long but I like it
L'America - moody, I like it
Hyacinth House - tonally interesting, moody, lyrics are dorky
Crawling King Snake - lyrically boring, otherwise nifty 12-bar song
The WASP (Texas Radio and the Big Beat) - most poetic lyrically, I like it
Riders on the Storm - it's good, interesting narrative, I like the rain
Hammond organ is bangin' but I just love an organ
Bassist and drummer are locked in
Vocals are - mixed - sometimes it works and sometimes less so
Guitar good - lots of stuff I see in e.g. The White Stripes

Odessey And Oracle
The Zombies
Care of Cell 44 - like the vocalists and backing vocals/harmony, some nice blasts of noise, bass and piano are both pleasant
A Rose for Emily - very sad, again I like the vocal performances, reminds me of The Beach Boys

At Fillmore East
The Allman Brothers Band
Statesboro Blues - tight, dynamic, lots going on, great vocals
Done Somebody Wrong - great groove
Stormy Monday - emotional, moody solos, great vocals
You Don't Love Me - groovy bass, the solo bridge between the two songs with the drums coming in whips, the drums are so good, expansive
Hot 'Lanta - the organ goes, very dynamic dual guitars, love the drumming
In Memory of Elizabeth Reed - consistently interesting, the bass carries so much of the movement
Whipping Post - clearly great, driving, getting lost and spaced out in this middle section, then the vocals coming back in is cool, spaced out again by the end, and things go kinda wild in the last couple minutes before dying down again, fascinating, the snippet of outro is so tempting
Overall loved this, would listen to it again. It's both easy and complex listening which is a nice balance. Doesn't demand my attention, but might benefit from it.
