1001 Albums Summary

There are a couple of standout tracks on here, and I enjoyed the overall anarchic spirit and percussion work. "Where is My Mind?" is the only track I'd heard before, which is interesting as it feels quite tonally different to most of the rest of the album, more polished. I liked Gigantic (which was probably the most similar to WIMM in terms of polish level) but also really enjoyed Vamos, which is one of the least. You can almost feel the band trying some different things to figure out what their "sound" is. Hoping some of their later work is on this list somewhere so I can see where they eventually landed!

Several songs on this album that are decent, or even pretty good, in isolation. As a whole-album experience it bored the crap out of me. Much too much repetition. Just not my bag.
