Queen II by Queen
Jan 26 2025

Easy listening, but easy to lose focus on as it all has a very similar vibe. Queen has done some much better stuff, but on the whole it's a good listen. You can definitely tell that with this album they are really starting to find their sound but they aren't quite branching out to the crazy places they go to in future albums (cough bohemian rhapsody).

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
Jan 26 2025

There was nothing inherently wrong with it, but honestly all of the songs sounded the same. It's interesting that in our modern age a common criticism of recent music is that it all sounds the same, but then this exists in the 70s? Food for thought. Any of these songs could stand solidly on it's own but listening to the album together just makes them all feel repetitive

British Steel by Judas Priest
Jan 27 2025

Heavy metal isn't my preferred genre, but this album was enjoyable to listen to it. it wasn't the 'scream and distortion and nothing else' sort of style, it had a lot of really clever stuff going on throughout it while still being clearly within that heavy metal genre, particularly as it was in it's early stages of development.

Low by David Bowie
Jan 28 2025

An eclectic mix. Interesting and not bad, but not my preferred listening really.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Jan 29 2025

I absolutely adore this one. It deserves more concentration so I certainly wouldn't describe it as easy listening, but this entire album is great. I don't think a single song brings the quality down, they all hit. It's excellent. Highly recommend.
