Such a great one to start with. I really like this group. I’ve always like Shining Star and Reasons, but I discovered All About Love with this listen, and it’s incredible. A theme I noticed for this album was self-love, which is evident of course with Shining Star, but this was reinforced through All About Love. It’s a great message, and I don’t know a whole lot about the culture of this decade aside from aesthetics, but I was surprised that this was a theme for this time. Doesn’t seem like it was mainstream as far as I know. The sound is timeless for many of these tracks…I’d believe you if you said they were produced recently. I love the jazzy and big band/marching band undertones. It makes it fun and positive for tracks like Shining Star, but romantic for All About Love (even if it’s about self love too)
