My first proper introduction to Sam Cooke. Pretty solid album that genuinely felt like part of a time capsule. It really transported me to a different time and made me feel like i was there watching this performance live

A master piece. The beats and story telling were incredible. It’s funny to look back on the project that elevated someone to the greatness that they’re at now.

A great album that I don’t really resonate with. It absolutely feels like a moment in time and whenever i listen to Prince i think about my mom and how much she enjoyed it when it first came out. Ultimately not for me but I can see the greatness in it
