Pet Sounds
The Beach Boys
Overall enjoyed listening - definitely a new sound that I don't listen to a lot.
Good to get into some older classics and explore the beginnings of psychedelic pop. I didn't feel super drawn to any of the songs and probably wouldn't listen again besides a couple that stood out to me.
Favs: "you still believe in me", "caroline, no"
"don't talk" - beautiful vocals and lyrics
so many unconventional sounds; bells and horns and whistles
love the instrumentals of "let's go away for awhile"
- drums
a lot of the sounds remind me of "strawberry fields forever" by Beatles
- psychedelic hazy feel
fading out of every song - gives it a nostalgic feel to me

Aja
Steely Dan
Really cool fusion of jazz and rock that I haven't really been exposed to before. I love the horns, the saxophone sounds so good. The harmonization of the voices is super smooth.
Like the jazz riff in Aja
Favorite: Peg
- groovy catchy melody and lyrics
- solo guitar so good
Saw something that said it was the creation of yacht rock which I really like and feel like encapsulates the sound.

Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea
PJ Harvey
While listening to the first song, Big Exit, I thought I was going to really dislike this album because of the heavy rock yelling/screaming-like singing but I ended up liking her actual singing a lot more. Towards the end of Big Exit, I really liked what I was hearing - cool rock vibe. I loved the vocals with Thom Yorke (okayyy feature, love him always)
The Whores Hustle And The Hustlers Whore - love the electric guitar
Fav: The Mess We're In
- love thom yorke's voice and her voice together, his vocals are so good
love the piano and guitar too
like how it switches from slower to faster more rock-like melodies
Really like the female rock voice and sound
Fav: This Is Love

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Kanye West
I love this album. Reminds me of when I was first getting into music and figuring out what I liked. I was so enamored by the sound of this album. The production is next level. The features are perfect - love Kid Cudi's vocals. Nicki eats. What a collection of songs. My personal favorite being Lost In The World, such a pretty melody and love Bon Iver's feature.

Blonde On Blonde
Bob Dylan
I recently started exploring Bob Dylan's music after seeing A Complete Uknown, which I definitely went to see because of Timothee Chalamet but felt engrossed by Dylan's life and the culture of folk music in the 60's. This is the first of his albums I listened to all the way through and I really enjoyed it. I personally love his voice. I love the harmonica. Loved Visions of Johanna and One of Us Must Know. Even though I feel like I don't pick up on the contents of a lot of his lyrics, I feel I can still appreciate his songwriting and the impact it has on the story being told in each song. Definitely want to listen to more.
