track one: a hard day's night - noisy, interesting vocal harmonies. almost jazz like melody?? vocal stretches in the chorus. interesting twangy guitar solo, kind of like country. like the bridge. 3/5 track two: i should have known better - continuing with the countryish vibes. like the melody/vocal line. not so much a fan of the harmonica. but i like the notes/chords. fun song. instrumentation is nice too. track three: if i fell - interesting, more mellow. track four: im happy just to dance with you - what's happening with the drums? same guitar/background noise as the rest of the album. floats around through the chords. i like the vocal layering on the chorus. track four: and i love her - sounds minor but also something else - augmented? i know this song already too. i like the plucking of whatever that is - banjo?? who knows track five: tell me why - sounds far off or live? might just be quality. overall im liking the vocal harmonies on the whole album, this is an example. track six: can't buy me love - can't tell what's going on. this reminds me of elvis?? just the voices and specifcally the enunciation of the words. it's country like. i like the solo and the background noises. track seven: any time at all - i like the rhythym here. it's interesting and different. this sounds familiar. i really like how full it sounds, there's this great base line in the back and the switching of the singers fleshes out the song. track eight: ill cry instead - country ish AGAIN - maybe a sign of the timing of this album? its good though, i don't mind it. track nine: things we said today - beautiful quality of the voice. harmonies again are lovely. so is the guitar strumming that's almost used as percussion. track ten: when i get home - sounds ahead of it's time. i like the drums, creates a very nice effect. track eleven: you can't do that - percussion is interesting, is that a cowbell? vocals are consistently great. guitar melody is unusual, but it works. track twelve: ill be back - i like the guitar in this. melodies are strange. feels... wandering? coastal? i like this one. OVERALL REVIEW: great vocals, kind of noisy background, unusual percussion, you can tell it's an early album. love the harmonizing throughout the album.
