1001 Albums Summary

As much as I want to say, “you can’t beat the original, because nothing would have followed if it wasn’t there to begin with.” I just think that this album’s sound is a bit repetitive. I just wish there was more variety. I’ve listened to so many albums and artists that have recreated this sound, and have done it better. But again, they wouldn’t have had the idea, had the Isley Brothers not shared their creation with the world. We can’t guarantee that the genre would have ever been created. So, right on Isley Brothers. Also, their album “Givin’ It Back” is arguably way better lol. I like the unpolished feeling of this group of songs. Not to mention how much I love the album cover.

I previously knew over 50% of this album. And to be completely fair, I wasn’t missing much by not knowing the other ones. But… Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song), Vienna, Just the Way You Are, Only the Good Die Young, and She’s Always a Woman KILL ME. They are so good. What a great album.
