John Prine by John Prine

Classic comforting album - Hello in There, Sam Stone, Your Flag Decal, & Angel from Montgomery are the big highlights for me. Long live John Prine

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Mar 15 2025

Sounds like what I’d hear on the bus on the way to school in 4th grade Takes itself too seriously, also why is there so much rap is that Linkin’s park thing that I didn’t realize? I thought it was just rappy in their radio hit songs. The remix-y part at the end of Points of Authority is particularly goofy In the end is still a banger ngl Lyrics pretty mid Chester Bennington was a talented vocalist so gotta give him credit Someone should make one of those yelling goat remixes for the song By Myself Medium 2

Leftism by Leftfield
Mar 21 2025

Felt like I should be tripping my balls off in some grimy loud European club while listening to this. I had and still have no idea what’s going on Not bad background music but far too long an album otherwise, strong 2/5

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Mar 22 2025

Realized while listening to this that I know a lot more steely dan than I realized Solid album, jams all around, light 4 from me

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Mar 31 2025

Would have loved to listen to this with good headphones while lying in a field on a nice warm day. I love how many layers there are to each song, both literally with the vocals & instrumentals and figuratively with the lyrics. I really enjoyed this album all the way through, I too am looking for fun and feeling groovy, 4/5

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela

Time to throw a dinner party cause that’s pretty much the only place I see myself listening to this again

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Apr 02 2025

I didn't realize how many classic songs were all on the same album, so that was a fun surprise - like who doesn't know (and love) I Only Want To Be With You and You Don't Own Me? I'm a big fan of Dusty's voice and her sound definitely borrows from a lot of other soul musicians of the time, but she does it well and makes it her own IMO. I really enjoyed listening to familiar favorites on this album and was happy to save a few more songs I hadn't heard before too.

I bet this band is a lot of fun live and I did enjoy parts of this album, but probably won't revisit

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Apr 10 2025

Blondie is such an influential, interesting, and just awesome band. This album is badass and so well written and composed. So many absolute bangers on here too. Heart of Glass is a masterpiece.

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Apr 11 2025

This album immediately goes hard with War Pigs and keeps up the energy pretty much all the way through. Black Sabbath are classic hall-of-famers for good reason, and I really enjoyed listening through this record. The only song I didn't enjoy as much as the others was Electric Funeral, but overall I thought they really kept it interesting, tight, and fun. I've only ever heard a handful of Black Sabbath's songs before, and only in one-off scenarios instead of as a cohesive album, so this was a fun listen. You can hear so clearly how much they influenced other artists who came after them and that's just super cool. Big fan and I didn't know I would be. Also I feel like I look like Ozzy sometimes when I'm sweaty
