1001 Albums Summary

Was rocking out to the instrumentals and for a brief moment thought I enjoyed thrash metal? The tempo changes and guitar solos were electric!…but then I heard the vocals and something inside me curdled. Vocals were over the top, cheesy, and almost cartoonish at times that it cancelled out my greater immersion and enjoyment. Despite this, the album wasn’t entirely bad and I can appreciate the influence Anthrax had on the history of metal. Standout songs include Imitation of Life and Medley which I may revisit in a distant and more desperate future.
