Songs For Swingin' Lovers!
Frank Sinatra
Great album to throw on while just doing things, such easy listening. His voice sounds so effortless over these tracks. I think swing really complements his voice and makes it stand out. He’s got some huge songs on this album and by no means are they the only good ones. Stand outs: You Make Me Feel So Young, It Happened in Monterey, Old Devil Moon, Makin’ Whoopee, Anything Goes.
I had to check and our modern definition of the word “swingin” came to prominence 8 years after this album. So looking back now, this album title is just so funny

Amazing album. All of the songs on this album deserve as much recognition as Fast Car. A unique blend of genres, with some raw, cutting lyrics. Chapman’s delivery is everything.
Stand outs: Tallin’ Bout a Revolution, Fast Car, Behind the Wall, Mountains O’Things, Baby Can I Hold You, Why?, If Not Now…, For You.
Pretty much the whole album, what can I say, it’s that good

I enjoyed this album. I thought I would like it a lot more. It’s still a good album, but thought it would kinda blow me away more.
Stand outs: Aqualung, Mother Goose, Up to Me, My God, Locomotive Breath

Love the highs of this album, the lows aren’t necessarily bad they just fall flat to me. I haven’t delved too much into the swing era of jazz, so this was a nice introduction. Overall I enjoyed this album. This is very much a 3, but I would come back to listen to this again.
Standouts: The Kid From Red Bank, Duet, Whirly-Bird, Midnite Blue, Lil’ Darlin’
