I like it just as much any other blues or soul album I’ve listened to. It’s nice but not that enjoyable as a genre for me. After listening to two songs it feels like I’m listening to the same thing over and over again. But one good thing is that the singers have great voices so at least it’s a moderately enjoyable album but I’d give it a low rating because of the repetitiveness.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
May 04 2025

This is the first album by The Rolling Stones I listened to and it was kind of underwhelming. It was largely a blues rock album and blues is just not a genre that I find interesting. Although it was not bad the tracks just felt bland and boring to me. Nothing stood out. Nothing made me want to listen to it again. I felt like I was listening to the same song over and over again.

Ray Charles has a great voice but it felt like the songs were getting way too repetitive. The only thing I liked listening to his voice but like three songs in and I already got bored. The lyrics are sweet but not something masterpiece worthy.

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
May 06 2025

This album sounds very much like an indie album from the 2000s. I enjoyed the sound a lot.

Pornography by The Cure

I really love the singer’s voice because it sounds like he is going to start crying every time he opens his mouth. It really adds to the emotion of the songs like he about to have a mental breakdown. This style of music is exactly my type. The only complaint I had is that is that some of the songs r too long. Songs do not need to be over six minutes long if it’s just going to be repetitive melodies the whole time.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
May 08 2025

A pretty solid album. It was fun and enjoyable and I thought tracks like Pump it up and lipstick were great. But the whole album doesn’t do anything remarkable. It feels like I have heard the same sound multiple times. Maybe at the time it was released it was something new but now I feel like the sound, although not bad, is a bit overdone. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that I still thought that it was pretty good.

The Who Sell Out by The Who
May 09 2025

Honestly the first half of the album really the shit put of me and I was ready to give it a one. But then I started really enjoying the later like towards the last ten songs. I thought those songs were really great. It would’ve been a five for me if the album was just those songs but unfortunately I had to sit through the rest of it as well. I get the idea and it’s pretty unique and creative. But the execution was just lacklustre. I almost stopped listening but I stuck it out.
