1001 Albums Summary

Maximalist but also somewhat uninteresting. Lacks the shakedown grooves of Houses of the Holy or their live albums, which I like more. Mixing is very spacious, the drums sound killer, but its almost too dry in places. Sounds a bit flat and would like a bit more sludge. Guitar tone on Celebration Tone is amazing. Kind of gives me a headache. Favourite track: Celebration Day Least favourite track: Friends

Bombastic, poppy, subversive. Maybe the greatest thing to come out of Britpop? Was mostly familiar with the big singles prior to listening, but the whole album is great.
