Sign 'O' The Times - I like the beat of this song, but it's a little bit boring. I wasnt in love with the melody. Play In the Sunshine - I really like this song it's upbeat, sunny, and reminds me of the beatles in a weird way. It's perfect for beach days. I wish there was a bit more instrumentation in his songs. They are very rhythm focused which I like but I wish the music backed that up more. I like this song a lot tho. The bridge is amazing. Its a lot of cheering. A lot of electric guitar, clapping, etc. House Quake - Very 80s sounding which I like but I dont like how Michael Jackson this one sounds. The beat is always a little too loud imo but again, super fun and upbeat Im just being very nitpicky. It's a bit repetitive. Im never in love with Prince's melodies. He really thrives in rhythm. The Ballad of Dorothy Parker - not a big fan of this one. its a bit boring and the loud strummy, vibrating, electric but not plugged in bass hurts my ears. It - big fan of this one. id put it on for late night driving. i love the layered vocals and the shiny shimmery notes behind the melody. I like the music outro but I wish it was shorter. Starfish and Coffee - I LOVE THIS ONE. THE BEAT IS SO GOOD. THE LYRICS. THE MELODY. IT MAKES ME FEEL HOPEFUL. THE VOCALS. Slow Love - Im not a huge fan of slow songs but this one is really pretty. Theres either sax or brass in it, which immediately makes any song better. It's giving very cinematic and I love a cinematic song. It's very soulful and jazzy. Big fan. Hot Thing - didnt love. no notes honestly kinda boring. Forever in Life - Also boring. No melody. Just a beat. U got the look - I like this one a bit more than the others but not a fav. I like the guitar part its very electric. I like the melody more but im not a fan of the chorus. If I was your girlfriend - Prince's voice really shines here. It sounds like classic 90s rnb which isnt my favorite, but its Prince you know. Sounds amazing. I love the syncopation in this with the background vocals. It's very staccato and bouncy which I like. This is a big favorite actually. I like the effects on his voice as well. Almost like a phone call but very subtle. Strange Relationship - I lOVE this one. The starting driving beat is so good and strong. I could never take the place of your man - this song is so funny and lowkey kinda country sounding. it has a little twang and i love it. this one is so good its upbeat its dancey. top three for sure. THE CHORUS. oh im so obsessed with this one. the country layered vocals? its so good. I dont love the random music interlude in the middle. Its a lot different than the main vibe / beginning vibe of the song. In general, I dont like songs that do this. The Cross - I love the focus on the drum in this song. Its a little slow for me. I wouldnt put it on to listen to but its very pretty. It's a bit too slow for me. But I love the marching band vibe. It picks up which is nice and sounds good but a little too grungey for me. It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night - This one is so fun! Ive been dancing the whole time. Sounds like the outro to a movie or a concert where you're dancing the whole way out. Big fan of this one. Adore - A little slow for me. Giving classic rnb that i dont love
