1001 Albums Summary

Already a fan of this album and some other Dylan stuff! I don’t love every song but the ones i do like i really love! Very warm and ‘alive’ production + ADORE a harmonica! Top 3 1. blowin in the win 2. girl from the north country 3. corrina, corrina

To start: hip-hop and rap isn’t my thing on the whole. I enjoyment moments of this album and is not a hard listen but doesn’t do much for me on any deep level. Can tell Kanye has had a hand in this but doesn’t have the some catchy-ness of some of his work from a similar time. Did blend together a touch for me so don’t think i’ve got a top 3 but i do really like the closing track ‘It’s Your World’ as really like the spoken word element and also enjoy ‘They Say’ and love the repeating line on the twinkly keys and some of the vocals! I get why people love this but it’s not super up my alley! 2.5

yeahhhhh it’s a cool album, so 10/10 for title! not something i’d usually listen to as i’m a lyric gal but you can’t deny the playing on this in amazing! so quick and interesting and makes me want to listen to more jazz! really enjoyed listening to this and would defo play again if i was hosting a dinner party and wanted to seem cool and cultured!

Already a fan of this album and grew up listening to a lot of the Smiths music! My dad had a t-shirt with this album cover on so it always makes me nostalgic! Classic 80s anthems for depressed people so right up my alley! Top 3 1. Cemetery Gates 2. There is a Light 3. Boy with the Thorn in his Side

We had this album poster in our living room at my old house. Would you BELIEVE i haven’t listened to this album full way through ever… i know shoot me. To be honest in my head i don’t really like bowie… BUT i take it back! You CANNOT argue with this album, it’s actually amazing (no shit sherlock)! I don’t know if i can pick a top 3 at the moment as i think it requires more listens but i love rock n roll suicide!

i loveeee frank ocean! i might prefer blonde to channel orange but god this is such a good album! His voice and the instruments are just smooooth (in a good way) and some of these songs just have a timelessness about them! I don’t LOVE every song but think as a whole listening experience it is excellent! Also think so many of these songs feel like they belong on a gossip girl episode Songs I love: Sweet life SUPER RICH KIDS (magnolia parks you will always have my heart!) Pilot Jones Monks LOSTTTT <3

have actually never listened to this album full way through before but has some songs i already love on it! it’s such a warm, alive and cozy album! Top 3 3. i’ll never fall in love again 2. we’ve only just begun 1.CLOSE TO YOU (the simpsons movie’s impact on me will never fade)

I do like a lot of Kate Bush songs but this album isn’t my favourite from her! So interesting songs but won’t be rushing to listen again.

… hated it. i don’t like punk and i didn’t like that album! noisy and annoying. very thankful it only lasted 15 minutes
