Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
May 30 2025

Definitely out of my wheelhouse but very good. Beautiful songwriting , so poetic. I don’t think this is an album I can listen to in full, just out of personal taste, but certain songs like “Suzanne” and “Teachers” I see myself coming back to. 3.5/5

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jun 07 2025

This is only my second Stones album, the first being Some Girls, and I can tell this is an earlier album. The sound that I'm accustomed to is here, albeit with more blues and less rock. 'Gimme Shelter' and 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' were the only tracks I went into knowing, and they act as a great sandwich for the album. Unfortunately, this sandwich's best feature is the bread. What follows is ... good, don't get me wrong, but a little same-y for my liking. 'Love in Vain' and 'Country Honk,' the two songs immediately following, blended together. 'On Midnight Ramble,' Mick Jagger and Jones's harmonica deliver on the song's promise. The title track was good too, but nothing to write home about. I did quite like 'Monkey Man.' Overall a 3/5. Not a disappointment, but only because the album art has repulsed and confused me for so long, I had no expectations for the record.
