Surprisingly varied album with a lot of R&B sound I did not expect

The composition is in many ways still fresh enough to let the mixing and texture sound charming instead of dated. Some tracks do just feel like cheap euro-dance, but all in all an interesting listen

Definitely a lot punkier than other REM albums I've listened to

Loved enough Young/Horse to be completely disappointed in this one. Not enough character

Effortlessly switches between jazz and rock, always with a cinematic grandness

Honestly could have been a Ween album
