Kid A by Radiohead

It's a good album with good beats and great production, yet I personally didn't like it. I felt asleep halfway through and I really fought myself to stay awake. For me, it was a really boring album, that I didn't expect to be so. I'm no stranger to music that is 'boring in an experimental way', but this was too much nothingness in the lyrics, lack of anything striking or hook-like in the vastness of the ambient soundscape. The songs I enjoyed the most are Everything In Its Right Place, The National Anthem and I Limbo. In my opinion Radiohead has better works in their catalogue. Overall, I don't think I'll listen to it again. Maybe this album someone's cup of tea but definitely not mine.

The Hour Of Bewilderbeast by Badly Drawn Boy
Jun 09 2025

Overall, I did enjoy this album. It's very melodically diverse and interesting with a very specific aura of wilderness in it. It is more enjoyable as a whole album for a specific mood, rather than a play list standout songs. As for now my favourites are Everybody's Stalking, Fall in a River, Camping Next to Water, Stone on the Water, Another Pearl, Bewilderbeast, Magic in the Air, Pissing in the Wind and Epitaph. Probably would listen to it again as I love indie rock and folk. At times it gave me Deerhunter vibes (but this album came out earlier). Very solid and cohesive work.

Rubber Soul by Beatles

A Great album that shows the beginning of their progression into more psychedelic territory. I was never a great Beatlea fan, liked a song here and there but never actually sat down and listened to any of their albums from A to Z until this one. The folkish vibe on those songs is very enjoyable an well produced. Great listening experience even if it's not their best album. Overall would listen to it again with pleasure.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Jun 12 2025

Incredibly ethereal with great production, unexpected melody and tone shifts. Definitely not for everyone, but it instantly appealed to me with the unique, "icy" vibe. My favourites were Svefn-g-englar, Staralfur, Ny batteri (a total standout) , Hjartath hamast (absolutely singular, never heard anything like this) and Olsen Olsen. Definitely would listen to it again, especially in winter, as it has this cold, spacious, icy atmosphere. I'd give it 4.5 stars, but there is no option to do so.

The Beach Boys Today! by The Beach Boys
Jun 13 2025

A very enjoyable listen, an album filled with short songs. From ballads to faster more energetic tracks, this album definitely has the classic Beach Boys sound, even without their surf rock style. Might not be the best in their catalogue (for me at least) but still very much worth listening, would listen to it again.

Incredibly nostalgic for a time that was and also for the time that has never been anywhere else but in our teenage dreams and wishes. I first heard "Time to Pretend" while watching "Skins" - and this whole album could basically be a soundtrack to every coming of age story. Great listen! Once again, I wish I could rate this album 4.5 stars/5.
