Idk if it's just me but like the original album and all its tracks were removed from Spotify... like I said idk if it's just me. I'm listening to the Directors Cut of the album that was released by the same artist but in 2021 so... I hope that doesn't affect the listening experience. First song pretty good. Haven't really listened to anything quite like this so kinda interesting. I really want to go to sleep I guess. I mean something is definitely missing from the Director's Cut - it's shortened by more than 20 minutes versus the original. But I still feel like I get the vibe. The music feels like what an amazing drug trip would be like. Electronic beats and then every once in a while an ethereal voice plays out. Madrugada Eterna ATE, especially with those raspy, passionate vocals holy shit. Okay I'm excited about the track after this one because it's called Last Train to Trancentral (da Force, Over & Out). Okay what is with their amazing vocals on this album. I don't like it as much as I thought I would - but it's still good. Honestly liking this a lot better than I thought - literally has the vibe of floating scarfs (the one's used in elementary school music class) in a flashing lights rave. Okay wait why am I transcending right now. Wow that was good - a little long for my taste tbh - the last 40 secs I was kinda ready for it to be over already. Okay the ending was kinda funny. I usually don't like instrumental openings but maybe I've just never listened to the right ones. I like this one because it has something interesting and it's not to soft and quiet, SOMETHING is going on, interesting noises and keys. And then again, before I get too bored, those amazing vocals come in. The saxophone or trumpet or whatever is in the back of The White Room is eating right now. Actually this might be my fav one so far. No way star imagery. I love me some star imagery. OMG why am I transcending right now insane. The 9 minute one is as the same tier as the others therefore I can't justify it being 9 minutes. Okay The Lover's Side eats. I will be adding this to my daily listening playlist. Okay I'm listening to the last song now. Still good. I would rate this album a 3.5/5. Most songs were pretty good, instrumentals were sometimes a little long for my taste, also some songs were too long, but the amaze vocals were my fav of all time. My favorite song was definitely The Lover's Side - I could listen it in my casual day playlist.
This is obvi a banger album - coming from me who does not listen to albums all that much. Starting off with an icon, Smells Like Teen Spirit. I don't even care that it's 5 mins, it doesn't even feel like it. I could have an hour long version of that song and it still wouldn't be enough. In Bloom. Pretty good. Obviously not as good as Smells Like Teen Spirit. Still has the spunkiness that comes with this album but also somehow lowkey??? Like it keeps the same pace and volume throughout, but it's not boring. My favorite part was the guitar solo. Come As You Are. So what I'm getting is they love repetitive lyrics. Most of the song contains the same lyrics, not really a bridge involved. They spice it up with vocals and guitar playing and layering to make certain parts of the songs more interesting. Interesting technique. Breed. This is giving punk song in the first min. Okay I really like this one. The tempo is up, the vocals are up, the guitar playings is up, the whole song is up. I love me an angry, passionate, fast, song. Lithium. OMG also a banger. I'm eating it up. The quieter start and then passion. I really liked that one too. Less than Breed, but still top 3 so far. Polly. STOP NOT THE POLLY WANTS A CRACKER. Okay why did this get weirdly deep. Wow they love repetitive lyrics I guess. It's okay. I didn't enjoy it as much cause the lyrics sound mostly repetitive and the song sounds the same all the way through. And it's not fast. I like fast songs. Or not like fast, but that there's something that keeps me interested every second. My least fav right now. Territorial Pissings. Okay definitely back on that punk level. Already enjoying it. One of my fav's def fourth place. There is emotion definitely and I enjoy it so much. Like yes, that's where you've been keeping it. Drain You. We might have to move everything down one. This is def number 2 on the list and everything else moves down. Yes give me interesting instrumentals and different lyrics in each stanza and meaning and cool lyrics and passion and feeling and something interesting in every second. Lounge Act. OMG I really like this one too. Again they upped the raw emotion in the singing. Wow. Definitely number 5. Stay Away. Good song to blast from my car when I leave work at 9pm. Good and the emotion is there but we are back to repetitive lyrics. Honestly I really enjoy this one as well. I might just do a top 3 instead of a top 5 because I really like all the recent ones. Ooo nice drum color, giving a spotlight to other instruments other than guitar. On A Plain. Okay the intro ate down. I really like the lyrics. Honestly, I really like it. The lyrics are good and it's fast-paced enough that I enjoy it despite it being repetitive. The outro ate down again. Something In The Way. Okay change of tone here. Holy shit. This almost made me cry. I have no idea how to describe songs I like. It doesn't have to be fast-paced, though I enjoy those more, but it literally has to keep me interested every second of the song or else I get bored. Unfortunately I have always had a short attention span, do not blame social media, it has legitimately always been like this. I really like this one. Okay my ranking is all skewed here let's just forget about it. Endless, Nameless. Okay I get why they call it Endless, there is straight up like 4 minutes of nothing but sounds and instruments so heed that warning. It kept me interested for maybe the first minute and then I kind of just wanted it to be over. Okay time to figure out my ranking I guess. 1. Smells Like Teen Spirit. 2. Something In The Way. 3. Drain You. 4. Breed. 5. Lithium. An overall rating of 4/5. It's honestly a banger album, only a few songs I didn't really enjoy and most of the time the lyrics and the overall song is sort of repetitive, but I really liked about 3/4's so a 4/5. Okay, that's it.
