1001 Albums Summary

A visceral nostalgia, but I think this may have been the first time I listened to the whole album. Interesting to think about the bands that followed the "pop punk" path set down by this album. I've been threatening myself for years to do a deep dive on punk between say, Velvet Underground to Green Day, but until now I had not considered following the actual line of influence of this album. Funny, talented kids putting on a lot of attitude. Hard to beat.

Was not familiar with Thin Lizzy. Not my favorite, but might be fun to work up a cover.

Sam Cooke is easily one of my favorite vocalists. Great album!

Amazing! Took me back, instantly, to a girl and a summer in the 1900's. This album was her heart. More and more I here Tori in the younger generations coming up. Huge influence. I need to look up the drummer. Late 80s, early 90s was a weird time for music...
