probably earns another star or two if listened to while driving around on a sunny day with the windows down not bad by any means, but found this album a bit of a slog to get through when listening actively. i like Yes’ hits (aka the guitar hero songs) but maybe i’m not just a huge prog rock guy. shoutout to Heart of the Sunrise - starts off “oh damn this is a jam”, look down and see its 10:35 long lmao. probably has the opposite effect on me than what the artist intended
excellent album - easy listening with the excellent harmonies, soul, & raw vocal talent you’d expect from the temptations. struggled between giving this a 4 or a 5. i think i’ll come back to this album, but ultimately i feel like none of the tracks hooked themself into my brain a la “my girl”, etc. maybe that’s not the fairest comparison, but leaving this album without any tunes stuck in my head makes me want to give it a 4. maybe that will change on subsequent relistens.
had a way better time listening to this compared to the last time i tried maybe 10+ years ago raw & experimental with a lot of delightful tracks not my favorite radiohead album as a whole, but deserves to be in the conversation
