Popular Reviews

an older hiphop record that ages pretty great. i'm not a huge fan of gangsta rap personally, and the production was pretty "conventional" (i understand that this is the template of what we considered conventional nowadays, but still). however this was still a pretty fun listen and i find the last track particularly amusing as someone who loves electro. modern hiphop is so far removed from electro and you just don't hear anything like that anymore

Bandwagonesque by Teenage Fanclub

a britpoppy album from scotland. 13yo me going thru an anglophile phase like every girls on tumblr at the time would've loved this, but as a 25yo woman who hasn't really listened to rock music in years this did nothing for me unfortunately

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Aug 01 2025

i was intimidated by the length of this album and while i wouldn't say this was an excruciating listen, it sounded like prince threw everything at you to see what sticks and nothing about this album sticks with me unfortunately

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Aug 04 2025

short and sweet folk album. i enjoy the more downtempo songs here. the more upbeat ones not so much. not something i would put on myself but i won't be mad if someone put it on

unfortunately not my thing. nothing gripped me about this whatsoever and my brain just tuned out the music. i suppose it's not terrible tho

Kid A by Radiohead
Aug 07 2025

yeah uh radiohead was my favorite band of all time for the longest time and this was probably my top 3 album of theirs. it resonated with my teenage self a lot which probably tells you about what kinda loser i was in middle school. but who tf cares this was my shit and i made it my whole personality ok. i have radiohead to thank for being the gateway band into more experimental music. i wouldn't be the person i am today without them. with that said i just... can't with them anymore. it's heartbreaking. my younger self would've been devastated if she saw that her favorite radical band is now a bunch of fence-sitting bitch asses. i don't care that much for the most part really, but when it's a band that shaped me so much as a person including politically... yknow what i mean? it wouldn't hurt so much if it was just some random idiots. these guys were my world. when i was 14 i used to write my diary addressed to thom yorke man. yeah yeah holy parasocial whatever. the girls that get it get it. the music still sounds great to me now but the magic is just gone. free palestine
