1001 Albums Summary

Good ambient music, but not really my cup of tea.

Sultans is one of those songs that can come on while you're driving, and by the end you don't remember a thing about the drive. It's a late-night song. A song of dreams. As an album, I'll take Love Over Gold but the high points on this one are pretty high.

I prefer Darklands, but man, Jesus and Mary Chain can do no wrong in my book. That reverb-soaked wall-of-sound...it would have been cool if they recorded with Ronnie Spector.
