1001 Albums Summary

It was definitely a vibe, but I didn’t really enjoy listening to it that much. During my listening session to this album I saw a lot of people saying that Rush was the best thing of their lives and that its not just a band, it’s an experience, so I thought that they grew up with this band or something. I don’t really like prog rock that much but I think the singer of this band has great vocals! I would give this album a 3.7/10 tho, Tom sawyer is actually a hit and would listen to it again.

Well the rolling stones surely is a big name but I didn’t roll with their album “let it bleed”, I kept being silent just like the stones. This album gets a 3.8/10 for me. For me this kind of music is so far away from me and listening to it felt like exploring a barren desert, you might find something interesting but it turns out it’s just your hallucinations–they call this desert mirage. So I guess it was a fun experience. I wouldn’t listen again to it tho! Surely not for fun or as a first choice. The lyrics are written from a pure source and I think the lyrics are brilliant, but good lyrics with a boring melody for me is a no. They had energy in most of these songs, almost like they’re drunk and energized and you can totally listen to it if you’re drunk or going through a crisis at 3 AM or whatever. Its not really for me, but it was good for what it was trying to be;the songs were absorbing the situation around them by that time, and you can hear the tension and changes through the songs. I liked the intro of most of these songs especially Gimmie shelter and Monkey man, and the gospel intro of their last track. But as the songs go on.. they downgrade and I wish that the mid sections and the rest of the songs were as good as the intro.
