A cool genre, but not really my sound.
I can never quite determine if I enjoy the rawness of Neil Young's vocals ... Not my favourite stuff to come out of the '70s. Regardless, I really appreciate the emotions and life experience that fuelled these songs. RIP to Mr. Young's buds. Heroin sucks.
Not something I would return to, but the energy had my foot tappin' and head noddin'. The music is respectable on its own, but as a protest album it goes extra hard.
His EighTEENTH album? Mr. Willie Nelson really was churning that music out. Honestly, this album's really lovely – in a melancholic way. Makes me want to take an ol' pickup down one of these dirt roads and have a good cry.
