1001 Albums Summary

Bluesy rock. Super bluesy vocal singing style makes it sound very American. Jeff Beck is ahead of the classic rock players of the time with his fast triplet pentatonic phrases, bends and vibrato. But songs don’t feel well arranged to me. All these blues forms, u could swamp between each other the middle parts of the songs and no one would know. There are some exceptions, but nothing that I am dying to rrlisteb it remember. Cool call and response vocal and guitar type solos. Got bored, left out last two songs. Mb they are masterpieces, idk

Some cool songs in this. Enjoyed arrangement in some later tracks. Drums seem not very live, so gives the logic loops feeling. Plus this type of songs is what every girl at the conservatory does. Sometimes seems like the Melodies of the songs were created my just taking the lyrics and jamming some souly vocalisations on top of jazz-soul simple chord loops. Later songs get better. Some nice lyrics about break ups…

Cool album. Got me familiar with the term art pop. Kind of more ballsy and brave decisions arrangement and composition wise. Interesting chord progressions and production. Not sure if I want to relisten anything from it, song Changes stocked a bit. It could become really dear music to me if I d relisten a lot. Reminded late arctic monkeys, I guess that’s where the inspiration is from. Piano driven tracks but without constant loops spamming the chords progression.

Amazing album. Smooth transitions between the songs, difficult song structures with long composed instrumental sections that carry the song to other direction… very fresh and original melodies, left me very surprised. The guitar playing is amazing too.

Didnt remember much, lush drum sounds and fun guitar loops.

Some cool songs. Long jammy guitar solos.
