Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Aug 30 2025

Not great! I’ve never loved RHCP, and this is not the best way to start this album-listening-thing. Breaking the Girl and Blood Sugar Sex Magik were the only 2 I’d listen to again willingly. I don’t get this band! It was bad!

Dare! by The Human League
Aug 31 2025

It was pretty good. John liked it a lot. Not my usual style, but still fun. Funny lyrics -something like “everybody needs 2 or 3 friends”.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Sep 01 2025

Before listening, this was already one of my favorite albums of all time. Going to California and When the Levee Breaks are all-time faves. Fun re-listen.

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
Sep 02 2025

So relentlessly cheerful. It was extremely tiresome. I probably would have loved this if I was 15 in 1981, but now it just really grated on my nerves. Fading Fast and Automatic were pretty good. We’ve Got the Beat and Our Lips are Sealed were fine, of course. But no breaks from the gals being gals having fun up-beat-ing-ness.

Justified by Justin Timberlake

This was really bad. The relentless funky beat did not make me want to rock my body. Some of it was catchy 20 years ago, but it was very grating today
