Chore of Enchantment by Giant Sand

This album was a wild ride. Every time I thought I knew where is was headed it would surprise me with another twist. I could do with a little less of the weird vocals. The backgrounds tracks were the real star of the show here.

In Utero by Nirvana

90s grunge isn't really my thing but I enjoyed listening. I much preferred their first album Nevermind.

When this album started out I immediately thought it belonged in the category of, “angry girl music of the Indy rock persuasion.” I truly enjoyed this listen.

Steve McQueen by Prefab Sprout
Sep 22 2025

When I first listened to the album I just wasn’t interested. Soooo glad I gave it another chance. Sorry Prefab Sprout, it was definitely me, not you! What a joy to listen to. Loved all the different instrumentals. The use of the classic 80s synth was just enough without going overboard. The shift in Horsin’ Around made me think it could have been written for a musical. Very talented group!

I really enjoyed the instrumentals in this album. I know very little about this style of music but listening to this album inspired me to learn more.

I gotta give the guy some credit for going so HARD with all these songs. Musically it really could have been a sensation if he had given us a little more variety. It’s a shame he didn’t use some of that talent to deliver a great rock ballad. Not sure we really needed 3 parts of The Last Of The Teenage Idols, one was plenty. The lyrics were questionable at best, the guy could use some therapy!

Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
Sep 29 2025

There were two whole songs I knew from this album. None of the others really added anything to my life.

Dr. Octagonecologyst by Dr. Octagon

Thoughts I had while listening to this album: - That intro was definitely used in Porn. - I need to wash my brain out with bleach. -GROSS - I guess that voicemail was kinda funny. - Did I just single-handedly kill feminism by listen to “A visit to the Gynecologist?” - *googles* how to permanently delete history from Spotify algorithm? This album is awful and the masters should be destroyed.
